Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts and products by performing the following duties.
*MUST HAVE experience working with manufactured aerospace components*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
- Forming of Sheet Metal parts to required specifications. Hand forming as well as hammer form and rubber press form.
- Other tasks to support forming operation – such as polishing parts and deburring.
- Signs into and tracks work using an ERP system.
- Capable of diagnosing simple issues with parts, able to work with technical staff to diagnose more complex issues.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
- Follows documentation to select gauge and type of sheet metal such as copper, steel, or aluminum, or titanium.
- Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or uses templates.
- Inspects each operation for conformance to prints / specifications.
- Moving products to other areas as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
