Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives and expand our market presence. This pivotal role involves developing innovative sales strategies and fostering strong relationships with enterprise clients. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will drive revenue growth through targeted business development efforts, leveraging your expertise in B2B sales, technical solutions, and cross-functional collaboration. Your energetic leadership will inspire teams to meet and exceed ambitious sales goals while building lasting customer partnerships in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Develops customer relationships, coordinates and plans program win strategies, including technical approaches, program pricing, and schedule commitments.
- Leads execution of customer bid and proposal activities, competitive analysis’, and price to win exercises resulting in contract awards.
- Continuously monitors the market to keep track of competitor developments and their impact on market share.
- Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and long-term business strategies that provide the business with an opportunity to grow revenue.
- Supports marketing efforts, including the attendance of multiple tradeshows (Domestic & International)
- Additional responsibilities may include piloting/ferrying UH-60’s for events (not to exceed 100 hours per year)
- Responsible for supporting and participating in the Ace Aeronautics QMS
- All other duties assigned by the Executive Team
Required Skills and Competencies
- Significant experience with the UH-60 / S-70 Platform as an Operator.
- Broad base of customer experience working with the US Government Customers, Defense Prime Contractors, and their international equivalents.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field. A minimum of 15 years’ experience of Business Development is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Required personal attributes: Leadership, strong interpersonal skills, outstanding oral and written communications, proactive, innovative, disciplined, team-builder.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Experience leading other business development professionals or equivalent active military experience, and/or years’ experience in business development, and relevant work experience working in defense markets domestically and internationally would be a plus.
- Demonstrated history of identifying significant decision makers in customer organizations, building a rapport, and influencing decisions.
- Applicable experience in Aircraft Modification is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of DOD program environment; esp. FAR, ITAR, FMS, DSS requirements.
- Previous relationships with senior military leaders and DOD decision-makers is a plus
- Ability to use automated tools such as Microsoft Office and CRM Platforms.
