Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring seasonal ingredients are utilized effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including all cooking equipment and utensils.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain food safety standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional culinary service.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including meal preparation and dietary aide responsibilities.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
