Corporate Facilities Manager
Some people see facilities work as fixing what breaks. We see it as the reason our guests never notice anything went wrong.
Hallmark Inns & Resorts is looking for a hands-on, highly capable Facilities Manager to support all three of our beautiful Oregon Coast properties. This role reports directly to the Director of Project Management and offers the chance to make a real, visible impact on how our properties look, feel, and function every day.
About the Role:
The Corporate Facilities Manager keeps our properties running safely and smoothly, from routine repairs to bigger capital projects. This isn't a desk job. You'll be on the road frequently between our Portland Metro corporate office, Newport, and Cannon Beach, working directly with property teams to solve problems before they become guest-facing issues. We need someone who's as comfortable reading a blueprint as they are running a forklift.
What You'll Actually Be Doing:
On any given day you might be:
- Diagnosing and addressing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues across properties
- Calculating length, area, and volume, and converting between units (LF, LY, SI, SF, SY, CF, CY) to scope out projects
- Reading blueprints and navigating construction sheets to plan and execute repairs
- Loading and prepping vehicles for safe travel, and operating forklifts, telehandlers, and man-lifts
- Driving a vehicle with a trailer between properties
- Verifying field conditions and gathering accurate data to support project decisions
- Applying carpentry skills to hands-on repairs and improvements
- Thinking through project sequencing and critical path timing to keep work on track
To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Need To:
- Have a minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Bring solid working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Navigate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with ease
- Be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with a wide range of people
- Be comfortable operating machinery and driving with a trailer
- Clear a background check and DMV check
- Travel frequently (daily to weekly) between the Portland Metro area, Newport, and Cannon Beach
- Commercial kitchen, pool and laundry experience is a plus
