Accounting Specialist

About the Role
Kaige Kubota is a growing Kubota equipment dealership serving the Permian Basin. We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team and support our Controller with the day-to-day accounting that keeps the dealership running. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes clean books, takes ownership of their work, and wants to grow with a company that's investing in its systems and people.
You'll work directly with our Controller and interact daily with our Parts, Service, and Rental teams — so good communication matters as much as good numbers.
What You'll Do
Accounts Payable
- Enter vendor invoices and match them against purchase orders and receiving documents
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate vendor records and W-9 documentation
Accounts Receivable
- Generate customer invoices for parts, service, and rental transactions
- Apply customer payments and maintain accurate account balances
- Follow up on past-due accounts and support collections efforts
- Reconcile customer accounts and research billing questions
General Accounting Support
- Post journal entries and assist with month-end close
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
- Help maintain accurate records in our dealer management system
- Assist the Controller with reporting, audits, and special projects as needed
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (AP/AR experience strongly preferred)
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field — or equivalent experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and the full AP/AR cycle
- Comfortable with accounting software and Excel; able to learn new systems quickly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-organized, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A team player who communicates clearly across departments
Bonus points for:
- Experience in equipment dealership, automotive, or heavy-equipment accounting
- Familiarity with a dealer management system (Primus, Texada, CDK, or similar)
- Exposure to floor plan financing or inventory accounting
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
