- We're seeking an experienced operator- crew leader to oversee residential and commercial site preparation.
- The roll involves maintaining equipment and keeping a clean safe job site.
- Must be able to layout, dig and pour foundations.
- Install underground utilities such as water and sewer mains, laterals and connections, primary and secondary electric conduit.
- Clearing and grading building pads, driveways , yards, etc.
- This is a physically demanding job that requires getting in and out of equipment and ditches frequently, building bulkheads, installing pipe and whatever is necessary to get the job done.
- Must have drivers license and keep service truck organized and equipped.
- Lead and work along side of small crew of 1-4
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Conduct utility locating to accurately identify underground utilities before excavation or construction activities begin.
- Ensure adherence to federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations specific to heavy equipment operation on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, compactors
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on construction machinery.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise a small crew effectively while maintaining a focus on safety and productivity.
- Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, utility work, and general construction processes.
- Ability to perform utility locating accurately using specialized tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with construction grading techniques and heavy equipment operation standards.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
