Administrative and Outreach Assistant
Job Summary
Atlantic Home Care LLC and Action Mental Health, Inc. are seeking a motivated, organized, and professional Administrative and Outreach Assistant to support business growth, community outreach, and referral development. This position will play an important role in expanding awareness of our home healthcare, community-based, and mental health services while helping build relationships with referral sources and community partners.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, a self-starter, comfortable interacting with healthcare professionals and community organizations, and interested in helping a growing healthcare organization expand its services and reach.
Position Type: Part-time, with potential to transition to full-time
Duties and Responsibilities
- Help grow Atlantic Home Care and Action Mental Health by building relationships with referral sources, community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, hospitals, and other local partners.
- Assist with outreach, marketing, networking, and community engagement activities to increase awareness of services and attract new patients and clients.
- Support efforts to expand the organizations by researching and assisting with licensing, credentialing, insurance enrollment, and new service opportunities.
- Follow up with referral sources, prospective clients, and community partners to help maintain relationships and encourage referrals.
- Maintain records related to referrals, outreach activities, marketing efforts, and other administrative tasks.
- Provide administrative support to help the organizations operate efficiently and continue growing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of administrative, healthcare, customer service, marketing, outreach, or related experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email, and internet research.
- Reliable transportation for occasional local outreach activities.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Community outreach, marketing, customer relations, or business development experience.
- Experience working with referral sources, healthcare providers, schools, or community organizations.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) or healthcare administrative systems.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
