Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to ensure healthy and attractive lawns and gardens.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators for planting, grading, and installing hardscape features like patios and walkways.
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote safety and growth.
- Manage irrigation systems for optimal watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and project progress for each site.
- Assist in construction projects involving landscape installation, hardscape features, or garden beds with precision and care.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations while delivering high-quality results.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related outdoor maintenance roles with a strong understanding of landscape design principles.
- Mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, irrigation systems, power tools, hand tools, and machinery such as excavators.
- Familiarity with gardening techniques, tree care practices, snow plowing (seasonal), and general landscape maintenance.
- Ability to operate construction equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles along with experience in hardscape installation and garden planning.
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
