The employee must have sufficient strength and agility to move, lift, and secure students in child safety restraint systems weighing up to 50 pounds and assist students in entering and exiting the bus in routine and emergency situations. The driver must be able to perform any required emergency evacuation functions to include, but not limited to, entering and exiting the school bus. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus and discern colors.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, twist, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to smell smoke, fuel, and other odors.
