Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Facilities Mechanical / Industrial Lead to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facility and manufacturing systems within a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day facilities operations, industrial mechanical systems, equipment reliability, and production support activities while helping drive operational efficiency, safety, and process improvements across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, along with experience supporting manufacturing operations, facility infrastructure, equipment maintenance, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position will also assist with equipment layout planning, process documentation, efficiency studies, and operational projects aimed at improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to quickly resolve operational and mechanical issues, effectively prioritize work in a dynamic environment, and collaborate across multiple teams to support facility and production objectives.
Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain facility maintenance support equipment and industrial mechanical systems.

Monitor facilities to ensure a safe, clean, efficiently operating, and productive work environment.

Assist Facilities Management with schedules and organizing any service work performed by technicians, vendors, and contractors to repairs, cleaning, and security operations.

Perform maintenance repairs for basic plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, HVAC systems, roofing, general landscaping, and other building support systems.

Conduct regular building rounds and submit reports to Facilities Management to ensure assigned areas are clean and safe, and that maintenance crews are keeping systems and equipment in proper working order.

Respond to internal customer inquiries and complaints. Ensure timely repairs with quality service, then follow up to confirm customer satisfaction.

Support manufacturing and project activities by troubleshooting mechanical, process, and facility-related issues.

Assist with plant layout, workstation setup, equipment placement, and material flow improvements to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency.

Support time studies, workflow analysis, and process improvement initiatives to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve labor and equipment utilization.

Assist in developing and maintaining standard work instructions, process documentation, preventive maintenance procedures, and training materials.

Collect, analyze, and report data related to downtime, equipment performance, maintenance issues, production flow, space utilization, and process efficiency.

Participate in continuous improvement projects, including Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.

Ability to interact effectively as a leader or team member and work collaboratively with other departments.

Mechanics, maintenance, HVAC, electrical, industrial technology, or related certifications a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to collect data, identify trends, and recommend practical improvements.

Ability to stand for extended periods, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving materials or equipment.
