American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist with at least 1 year of cardiovascular scrubbing experience for a hospital Operating Room position in Grand Junction, CO.

CVOR patient population requiring cardiovascular surgical scrubbing

Day shift, 4x10-hour variable shifts, 40 hours per week

Floating to other departments may be required based on business need

Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Tech experience overall
-
Minimum of 1 year of CVOR scrubbing experience as a Surgical Tech
-
Graduation from a formal, accredited Surgical Technologist program required; U.S. military training may substitute
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
BLS certification from the AHA required and must not expire prior to start

Colorado DORA license required if applicable

Epic EMR experience required

DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Perform scrub duties, maintain sterile technique, and provide appropriate instrumentation, sutures, and supplies during cardiovascular cases

Assemble, organize, and complete case carts according to surgeon preference lists

Assist with sponge, needle, blade, and instrument counts using established policy and proper technique

Handle and prepare specimens, implants, soiled instruments, contaminated materials, and sharps per policy and standards of practice

Assist with timely room turnover, including cleanup, restocking of supplies and equipment, and instrument care

1 year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital preferred; please include cardiovascular experience on your resume

Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
