Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pastor to Children and Youth to lead and nurture the spiritual growth of our young congregation members. This vital role involves directing a Sunday School program with dedicated volunteer teachers, providing mentorship, and fostering a welcoming environment where children and teenagers can explore their faith. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic youth programs.
- Lead regular youth group meetings and special events that encourage active participation and faith exploration.
- Provide pastoral care, mentorship, and counseling to children and teenagers facing personal or spiritual challenges.
- Coordinate volunteer efforts for youth activities, including training and supervising youth leaders and childcare volunteers.
- Organize outreach initiatives such as mission trips, community service projects, and social events that foster youth engagement in mission work.
- Collaborate with parents and church staff.
- Plan and execute religious ceremonies or celebrations involving children and youth, ensuring they are inclusive and meaningful.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children and youth within a religious or nonprofit faith-based setting.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, teens, families, volunteers, and the broader community.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in developing innovative programs that inspire faith-based growth.
