Looking for a Part-Time LVN for a Large Assisted Living Community — New LVN Graduates Welcome!
Pay range is $35–$38 per hour, depending on experience.
At Vista Del Mar, our mission is to provide the highest level of assisted living service. With care and compassion, we promote a healthy lifestyle for our residents, foster their independence, and encourage social involvement. We are one of the largest assisted living facilities in Long Beach, including hospice and Memory Care services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and supervise residents with medication administration.
- Maintain regular, ongoing communication with the pharmacy, families, residents, and management staff.
- Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, incidents, and observations.
- Initiate emergency measures according to facility policy.
- Understand and ensure compliance with all Federal (Title 22) and state regulations concerning the department (training provided)
- Demonstrate knowledge of infection control, including adequate hand-washing, blood-borne pathogen procedures, universal precautions, etc.
- Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms and reports, and submit these as required.
- Provide basic patient care.
Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of related experience and/or training, preferably working with seniors in assisted living, home health, rehabilitation, or other long-term care environments.
- Current proof of license/registration in the State of California. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Be in good health (physically and mentally able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Must successfully complete DOJ and FBI Live Scan clearance prior to employment.
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
