DESCRIPTION:
Frank Phillips College is seeking a qualified and dedicated part – time Assistant Coach that supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the athletic program, including student-athlete development, recruiting, practice and game preparation, academic support, compliance, and program operations. This position promotes student-athlete success academically and athletically while representing Frank Phillips College with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the College's mission and values.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of sport-specific fundamentals, coaching techniques, practice planning, and competitive strategies.
- Coaching experience or closely related experience; collegiate playing experience may be considered in lieu of coaching experience.
- Knowledge of NJCAA rules, conference regulations, and ethical recruiting practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, employees, and the public.
- Valid Texas driver’s license (or ability to obtain within a reasonable period) with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully pass required background checks.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain certification within a designated timeframe after employment.
