Deflash & Deburr is the Finishing method used to remove burrs and sharp edges on parts created by our machines. They are responsible for Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work area. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Setup and removal of burrs or sharp edges.

Visual inspection of each part using calipers.

Read computerized work instructions.

Remove raised particles and shavings that appear on parts.

Repetitive filing or use of a grinder to smooth away nicks and fragments.

Sanding by hand or sanding with a pneumatic hand tool for more troublesome deformities.

Wash and polish parts prior to submitting for inspection.

Audit and order materials needed for deburring activities

Ensure deburred parts are within tolerances and coincide to print specifications.

Measure and document when required that parts meet dimension requirements.

Send the first deburr article to quality control inspector.

Make any necessary adjustments per the inspector.

Receive final "buy-off" from inspector and debur remaining parts.

Upon completion of deburring, organize parts and send to next operation.

Maintain work area safe, organized and clean

All other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of the company's operations.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 plus years previous experience working in Manufacturing (Aerospace preferably).

Must have basic computer skills, data entry is required to track the production floor.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Team player.

Must be able to lift 25lbs and stand for the entire shift.
