Join Our Essential Team as a Mechanic!
This position is part of the Plant Industrial Trades Series, devoted to skilled trades work in the construction, alteration and repair of utility plant facilities and equipment. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of chemical feed systems and equipment supporting the operations of a large-scale water treatment and pumping facility. Performs a variety of mechanical, facilities and grounds maintenance work at assigned plants, lift stations and related sites. Including inspecting, maintaining, repairing or replacing pumps, valves and meters critical to water treatment, distribution, and pumping processes.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to tool organization, preventative maintenance on equipment, repairs to equipment, work space organization, addressing housekeeping issues, pumping out vaults, labeling of equipment, and equipment inspections.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and three years of maintenance experience
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
