The Parts Sales Specialist position plays a critical role in meeting and exceeding customer service expectations by providing support for WEIMA sales and support with the objective of maintaining and growing the current customer base. Primary focus is on understanding all parts and ensuring customers know who to contact for any questions. Should show progressive growth in customer and sales development in the plastics, wood, paper, and waste sectors etc., as well as a growing level of involvement in assisting with the development and execution of the overall sales strategy.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the sales staff on a frequent basis to support customer needs and respond to customer inquiries.
· Develop relationships with vendors and distributors.
· Knowledge of WEIMA parts & repair procedures (learn with shop & warehouse training).
· Provide client phone support for WEIMA equipment.
· Communicate effectively with clients, WEIMA staff and others to ensure effective support.
· Process sales orders from customer purchase orders with long term goal of creating quotes.
· Process new machine folders and assist with sold project turn over to project management.
· Understand general drawings for Standards, production, and projects as well as Bills of Materials.
· Understanding the basics of Conveying both Pneumatic & Mechanical systems.
· Assist in warehouse when needed with long term goal to manage inventory with purchasing department.
· Backup for customer service calls and emails.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Maintenance or similar program preferred.
· Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Good verbal and written communication.
· Ability to multitask.
· Prefer experience in manufacturing or maintenance of industrial machinery.
· Working knowledge of the wood, plastics, and paper markets is a plus.
· Computer Skills: Intermediate level of ability with Microsoft Office applications (ERP, MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
