DESCRIPTION • Demonstrates ability to assess patient’s medical history to determine if the patient is a candidate for PICC placement.• Reviews/Verify physicians order on chart for PICC placement.• Reviews/Verify Proper Informed Consent has been obtained.• Demonstrate clinical proficiency use of ultrasound guided PICC insertions.• High skill level of critical thinking and assessment.• RN will travel within our service area to perform services.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate from an accredited school• 3-5 years adult critical care nursing experience within the past five years• RN Licensure in TX• Maintains yearly PICC competency.• Ability to work independently and possess strong communication.• Must have reliable transportation.• Continues ongoing education and staying current on information of infusion therapy.
Must have a reliable vehicle for driving to and from facilities.
