Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items using grilling, frying, and other cooking techniques in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and food prep stations safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist with food production tasks including portioning, and food assembly for high-volume service
- Handle food with care to ensure proper food handling practices are maintained throughout the cooking process
- Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and portion sizes to ensure consistency across all dishes
Skills
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques such as grilling and frying
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely
- Experience with high-volume production environments
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining efficiency during busy periods
