Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing computer numerical control (CNC) programs that drive precision machining operations. Your expertise will ensure that parts are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and work with state-of-the-art machinery in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and write CNC programs for various machining equipment such as CNC milling machines using CAM programming software.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings utilizing GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including electrical discharge machining (EDM), ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and calibration are in place.
- Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Optimize machining processes by applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot programming issues and machine malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC programming for 5 axis mills
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings adhering to GD&T standards.
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling, geometry, machining processes, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Excellent math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, speeds, and other machining parameters.
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Join us as a CNC Programmer if you’re passionate about precision manufacturing and eager to apply your technical expertise in a vibrant setting that values innovation and continuous improvement!
