Duties
- Prepare a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with meal preparation, including portioning ingredients, breading, and coating foods for frying
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Follow menu plans and assist in developing new fried menu items that meet customer preferences
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards are met before serving
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service environment, particularly with fry cooking or similar culinary roles
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Experience working in a restaurant or fine dining setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and prep stations
- Strong knife skills for food preparation tasks
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments
