Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced International Operations Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Long Beach, CA. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with strong international freight forwarding experience across air, ocean, FCL, LCL, import, export, and drayage operations.
The International Operations Manager will lead day-to-day freight operations, support operations staff, manage customer and vendor relationships, and ensure shipments move efficiently from booking through final delivery. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving processes, and working in a fast-paced import-export environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily international freight operations, including air, ocean, FCL, LCL, import/export, drayage, warehousing, and transloading activities.
- Oversee shipment coordination from booking through final delivery, ensuring timely execution, accurate documentation, and proactive issue resolution.
- Lead, train, and support operations staff while providing direction, performance oversight, and operational guidance.
- Coordinate with steamship lines, airlines, trucking companies, warehouses, customs brokers, overseas partners, and other service providers.
- Monitor shipment status, operational costs, service performance, and key performance indicators to identify improvements and maintain quality standards.
- Resolve customer service issues and operational challenges professionally while supporting compliance with import/export regulations and company procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
