Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate DUI Counselor to join our behavioral health team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support to clients experiencing acute behavioral or mental health issues.
- Facilitate child & family counseling sessions when appropriate, fostering communication and healing within family units affected by substance abuse.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, ensuring continuity of care across home, community, hospital, and outpatient settings.
- Collect data for research purposes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives related to addiction medicine and behavioral health services.
Experience
- Proven experience in addiction counseling, clinical counseling, or mental health therapy within healthcare or community settings.
- Strong background in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and social work principles.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques, crisis management protocols, and trauma-informed care approaches including PTSD care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems; ability to perform patient assessments effectively.
- Prior work in hospital environments or home & community care settings is highly desirable.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
