After-School Sports Coach (Soccer)
Location: Oakland & East Bay Area, CA
Compensation: $20.00–$25.00 per coaching hour
Opportunity Type: Part‑Time | Youth Soccer & Enrichment Programs
Program Ages: TK–5th grade, with most coaching assignments focused on TK–2nd grade
Program Schedule: Monday–Friday (3:00 PM–5:00 PM) and Saturdays (8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
Make a Difference Through Coaching
First Touch Coaching partners with AYSO PLAY! to deliver high‑quality after‑school soccer and youth development programs across Oakland and the East Bay.
We are seeking energetic, reliable and positive Youth Development Coaches who love working with children and want to help students build confidence, teamwork, resilience and friendships.
You don’t need to be a soccer coach, we are looking for people who can confidently lead and support younger students, especially TK–2.
Schedule Tracks Available
- Track 1: Weekday Afternoons (Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–5:00 PM)
- Track 2: Saturdays Only (8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
- Track 3: Combined Weekday & Saturday Shifts
Choose the track that fits your availability. Once selected, we work with you to establish a regular, reliable weekly schedule for the full school season.
Coaches wanting more consistency may build 15–20 hours per week across multiple sites.
What You Will Do
- Deliver fun sessions — active, engaging soccer‑based programming
- Create safe environments for TK–5 students
- Build confidence & teamwork — helping children develop resilience and positive social skills
- Build relationships with school staff & families
- Communicate reliably and deliver accepted assignments
What We Are Looking For
Successful coaches often have:
- Experience with children — schools, childcare, camps, youth centers
- Experience with younger students
- Positive energy and strong communication
- Reliability and professionalism
- Local proximity — ideally within 15–20 minutes
Required Onboarding

- TB clearance
- CPR certification
