The Commons at Turning Stone are a group of experience-focused retail stores located within the renowned Turning Stone Resort & Casino. Each of our five, beautifully designed stores offer customers a wide variety of options for men's and women's clothing as well as sports apparel, jewelry and accessories. It is the role of the General Manager to oversee the operations of our five distinct retail spaces, setting the tone for both your fellow store leadership and your associates alike. You are responsible for driving profitable business – focusing on genuine connections, and exceptional experiences with customers, in turn building brand loyalty and efficient operations. You’ll recruit new talent while training and developing your existing team to make sure everyone is contributing to their highest potential. The GM we’re looking for will foster an inclusive work environment where success is found not just as a manager, but as a leader and part of a greater team.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a business owner with an emotional connection to everything in the stores and keeping profitability top of mind.
- Assess data and customer relationships quickly to personalize each experience.
- Ensure the team is always on track to make their goals and exceed customer expectations.
- Motivate and inspire your team every day to do their best and maintain a high morale at all times.
- Find and recruit top talent to build a team relevant to the current needs of the business.
- Consistently demonstrate selling standards and deliver an exceptional experience with every customer.
- Work with higher management to delegate responsibilities, ensuring efficiency and an ongoing culture of learning.
- Observe store policies and procedures at all times, setting an example to fellow members of your team.
Qualifications/What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication skills
- Exhibits a high level of thinking - Ability to analyze business needs and trends.
- Track record of positive sales results
- Available for varied weekly shifts including: Weekend, Closing, & Holiday Shifts
- Flexible availability - Ability to work around business needs (Nights, Weekends and Holidays)
- 3-5 years of retail management experience
