Job Summary
Envicool is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to support the deployment and delivery of data center cooling, liquid cooling, and other critical infrastructure solutions across the United States.
This role will coordinate engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including project kickoff, planning, site execution, equipment installation, testing, commissioning, customer acceptance, and final handover.
The Project Manager will work closely with customers, engineering teams, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with customer and contractual requirements.
We welcome candidates with project or field experience in data centers, HVAC, MEP, industrial equipment, manufacturing, energy, electrical systems, automation, semiconductor, construction, or other engineering environments.
Direct experience with data center cooling or liquid cooling solutions is preferred but not required. Candidates with hands-on experience supporting projects at customer, construction, or industrial sites are strongly encouraged to apply.
This position also involves regular collaboration with Envicool’s engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and headquarters teams in China.
Key Responsibilities
1.Project Planning and Execution
- Support and manage the project lifecycle from project kickoff and planning through installation, commissioning, customer acceptance, and final handover.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, action items, and responsibility lists.
- Track project progress and ensure key activities are completed according to schedule.
- Coordinate internal and external resources required for successful project delivery.
- Ensure project execution meets customer requirements, technical specifications, and contractual commitments.
- Organize project meetings and follow up on decisions, responsibilities, and deadlines.
2. Site Execution, Installation, and Commissioning
- Coordinate and follow up on project activities at customer, construction, data center, and other project sites.
- Support equipment delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, site acceptance, and handover activities.
- Coordinate daily activities among customers, engineering teams, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Monitor site progress and identify issues that may affect project schedule, quality, safety, cost, or delivery.
- Drive timely communication, escalation, and resolution of site-related issues.
- Travel to customer and project sites across the United States based on project schedules and operational requirements.
3. Project Controls and Risk Management
- Track project scope, schedule, deliverables, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
- Identify potential project risks, delays, resource constraints, scope changes, and technical challenges.
- Coordinate corrective actions and follow up on unresolved or outstanding issues.
- Maintain project action lists, issue logs, risk registers, and other project control documents.
- Communicate responsibilities, deadlines, project risks, and required actions to relevant stakeholders.
- Escalate critical issues in a timely manner and support the development of practical solutions.
4. Technical and Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate technical discussions among customers, engineering teams, suppliers, contractors, and field personnel.
- Support the review of engineering drawings, technical specifications, project documentation, installation requirements, and equipment integration plans.
- Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues during equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and project execution.
- Communicate field requirements, site conditions, technical issues, and customer feedback to internal engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers during project execution.
- Provide regular project status updates and clearly communicate progress, risks, delays, and required decisions.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and project partners.
5. Project Closeout and International Coordination
- Coordinate customer acceptance, completion documentation, punch-list resolution, and final project handover.
- Ensure commissioning records, issue logs, acceptance documents, technical records, and other project documentation are properly completed.
- Follow up on outstanding items and support timely project closeout.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and other internal departments.
- Coordinate regularly with Envicool’s China-based engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and headquarters teams.
- Facilitate effective communication between U.S.-based customers and field teams and China-based technical teams.
- Support cross-cultural collaboration and ensure project information is communicated accurately and efficiently.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Energy, Construction Management, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- At least 1 year of experience in project management, project coordination, field engineering, site execution, construction coordination, project delivery, equipment installation, commissioning, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience supporting or coordinating projects at customer sites, construction sites, manufacturing facilities, data centers, or other engineering environments is strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating customers, contractors, suppliers, engineering teams, and field personnel is preferred.
- Experience in data centers, HVAC, MEP, industrial equipment, manufacturing, energy, electrical equipment, automation, semiconductor, construction, critical infrastructure, or other large-scale engineering environments is preferred.
- Direct experience with data center cooling or liquid cooling solutions is a plus but not required.
- Experience independently managing projects or coordinating multiple phases of project delivery is highly valued.
Project Management Skills
- Ability to coordinate project activities across customers, contractors, suppliers, engineering teams, and field personnel.
- Ability to develop and track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, action items, and open issues.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management tools is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, MEP, industrial equipment, manufacturing systems, or construction environments.
- Ability to read and work with engineering drawings, technical specifications, project documentation, and project schedules.
- Experience supporting equipment installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, site acceptance, or final handover is highly valued.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively between customers, engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
Communication and Language
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus, as this role involves regular coordination with China-based engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and headquarters teams.
- Experience working with international or cross-cultural teams is highly valued.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to communicate project status, risks, technical issues, and required actions clearly and professionally.
Other Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Dallas, Texas area.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer and project sites across the United States based on project requirements.
- Travel frequency may vary depending on project schedules, installation activities, commissioning requirements, and customer needs.
- Comfortable working at customer sites, construction sites, data centers, manufacturing facilities, and other field environments as required.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
