Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and managing pest infestations in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a combination of technical skills, customer service abilities, and a strong understanding of pest control methods. As a Pest Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our clients by effectively managing pest issues.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest problems and determine the best course of action.
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments using company provided Equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide recommendations to clients on preventative measures to avoid future infestations.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatment plans and follow-up schedules.
- Educate clients about pest behavior and the importance of ongoing pest management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Drive to various job sites using company vehicles, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled appointments.
Skills
- Experience in pest control or related fields such as lawn care or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in pest management applications.
- Strong sales skills to effectively communicate service benefits and upsell additional services when appropriate.
- Familiarity with farm machinery is a plus, particularly for agricultural pest control roles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to accurately assess pest issues.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
- A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
