Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Your expertise will help ensure our clients experience optimal comfort and energy efficiency in their homes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable company that values quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, thermostats, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system inspections to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, including refrigeration systems, boilers, and appliances using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment
- Interpret technical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system layouts for accurate installation
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC units and related property systems to prevent future issues
- Assist with plumbing connections and ammonia refrigeration systems when necessary
- Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and safety documentation
Qualifications
- 3 + years of proven experience in construction, HVAC installation, or as a service technician within the residential sector
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in refrigeration, plumbing, boiler systems, and appliance repair
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and property maintenance procedures
- Ability to operate field service tools including ohmmeters and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R systems is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical diagrams accurately
- EPA Certification is preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various field environments
