Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Duties
- Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of equipment and tools.
- Perform scheduled maintenance activities on equipment.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
- Communicate between customers, management, and other mechanics in regard to schedules, evaluations, and repairs.
- Coordinate with parts department for ordering of needed parts, communicating time fram needed to receive parts.
- Adhere to company policy and procedure and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems to restore equipment to optimal working condition.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment checks, and HVAC system servicing to prevent breakdowns.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding techniques and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues by interpreting schematics and utilizing automotive diagnostics tools; perform equipment troubleshooting efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inspection reports for all serviced equipment following safety standards and company protocols.
- Support heavy equipment operation when required by assisting with setup or moving machinery safely around job sites.
Requirements
- 2-5 years mechanic experience
- Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Must possess valid drivers license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
