Optometrist (Part-Time or Fill in) — Colorado Springs, Co

At Steel Optical, we're looking for an Optometrist who's a team player, someone who wants to be part of a small team and genuinely loves patient care and building rapport. We're committed to offering our patients the highest standard of care in a welcoming environment.
Pay: $640+/day
Compensation Options:
- W2 — includes 401(k) with company match
- 1099 — flat rate + bonus structure
Schedule: Part-time available (~30 hours)
What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive eye exams, including vision assessment and screening for ocular disease
- Appropriate referral to local ophthalmology clinics for additional testing
- Diagnose and manage refractive conditions (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia)
- Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other treatments tailored to each patient
- Educate patients on eye health and preventative care
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in our EHR system
What We're Looking For
- O.D. from an accredited optometry school
- Active, Colorado optometry license
- A team-player mindset and genuine passion for patient care and rapport
- Strong diagnostic skills for both refractive and ocular health needs
