At ENT Specialists of North Florida and Meier Plastic Surgery as a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The responsibility is to promptly complete all activities accurately, and with high quality and n a timely manner. include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Interview/room patients and document medical history in EMR
- Prepare and clean/sanitize examination rooms and medical instruments
- Assist during medical examinations/procedures
- Restocking rooms
- Respond to patient inquiries via telephone and the patient portal in a timely manner
- Complete and follow up on provider-assigned tasks
- Follow-up on prescription refill requests
- Obtaining authorizations
- Follow-up on other various tasks as assigned by supervisor/management
Skills
- 1 year proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual speaking preferred
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Experience in Plastics and Otolaryngology (ears, nose & throat) preferred
- Experience with pediatrics, adolescents and adults preferred
Qualifications
- Medical administrative support
- Basic life support certification
- Patient service experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to perform intake and vital signs
