Job Summary
Work outside in Steamboat this summer! Mostly hardscaping stone work. We do the best flagstone in Routt County! There will also be miscellaneous labor work including but not limited to tree trimming and brush removal, planting all sizes of trees, shrubs, and other plants, mulching, and more.
Schedule is flexible. Full time available.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance activities including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and weed control to maintain healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stones, and installing features under supervision
- Perform tree care tasks including trimming, pruning, and basic tree removal while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of irrigation systems for leaks or malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
Qualifications
- Truck/towing experience a plus
- Prior outdoor work experience or landscaping background preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and grounds equipment safely and effectively
- Basic understanding of horticulture principles including plant identification and care
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence in all tasks
- Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
Pay is depending on experience. Room for advancement and will train the right person.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
