Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure efficient service
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in food service or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Experience in barbeque dining settings or bars enhances your ability to deliver elevated service
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices is essential
- Background in serving, host/hostess roles, or food industry positions demonstrates your ability to excel in guest services
- Basic math skills for accurate check splitting, cash handling, and billing processes
