Job Summary
Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop is looking for dedicated, dependable animal loving person to join our production/retail team in Cardiff by the Sea, CA. Job responsibilities include sorting and pricing incoming donations. We are also seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their shopping needs, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for upselling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Sorting and pricing items, loading and unloading items from storage bins. Researching current pricing on used items.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by managing inventory levels and restocking merchandise as needed.
- Maintain a positive work environment including adherence to store policies and procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations. Follow directions given by supervisors and management team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills including phone etiquette.
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand on your feet for your shift. Previous knowledge of pricing items is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends as required by the store schedule.
