We are seeking an outgoing, energetic Elementary Teacher for 1st grade. We are seeking someone who is called by God, who loves children, and loves education. We have 1 opening.
Responsibilities
- Teach Elementary subjects to 1st graders
- Prepare daily lessons for 20-25 students per class
- Manages student behavior effectively
- Communicates well with parents and students
- Uses technology in the classroom
- Follows faithfully the school curriculum
- Abides by school policies and procedures
- First day of work is Monday, August 3rd
Must-Have Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience teaching English or Elementary
- Authentic and vibrant faith in Jesus Christ
- Lives within 25 minutes of the church
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- 3 or more recent work references, including immediate supervisor
Helpful Qualifications
- Has a post-secondary degree in education
- Has earned a specialty in Education, English or Language Arts
Holidays and Breaks
- Thanksgiving Holiday (5 days)
- Christmas Break (10 days)
- Early Release Days (4-8 per school year)
- Additional School Holidays (5-7 days)
- Summer Break (8 weeks)
Compensation
- Base salary range is $40,000-$46,000 paid over 12 months.
- Employee discount is $2,000-$6,000 when enrolling your children at no cost in our academy, worth about $2,000 per child after scholarships and free before-care and aftercare worth about $3,000 per child. For an employee with two children in our school, the value of the contract is worth as much as $52,000.
