We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Assembler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain various industrial equipment, assemble precision components, and ensure quality standards are consistently met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of critical electronic connector systems in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.
Duties
- Operate machinery such as contact assembly machines and automated epoxy application machines.
- Assemble parts accurately using hand tools and fabrication techniques, adhering to detailed work instructions and engineering specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections utilizing microscope and tools like calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with industrial equipment and perform basic maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse setting, including materials handling and proper storage of finished products.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation of production activities and equipment performance for compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic repairs.
- Familiarity with measurement techniques for quality control using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read work instructions with attention to detail.
- Experience with materials handling equipment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote efficiency within the production environment, a plus.
- Excellent hand tool skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards.
