The City of Avon Lake Civil Service Commission is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the position of Full-Time Laborer. All Laborer vacancies will be filled from this list. A valid State of Ohio Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License is required for this position. All applicants MUST submit a copy of their CDL with the completed application.
STARTING SALARY - $29.21/hour
Plus, comprehensive benefits, membership in the United Steelworkers Local 836, and coverage in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).
Applications may be obtained online at www.avonlake.org or in person from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Avon Lake Municipal Building, 150 Avon Belden Road, 1st Floor, Avon Lake, Ohio, beginning Monday, May 18, 2026. All applications are due and shall be postmarked no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026.
