Description
The Grove, located just outside Nashville and minutes from historic Franklin, is a 1,100-acre gated community offering a distinctive private club lifestyle dedicated to providing exceptional member services and the most comprehensive amenity and recreational offerings in the region. We are currently seeking an accomplished, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional to join the team.
This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service during restaurant/bar hours. Ideal candidates will be able to create classic and innovative drinks that exceed customer expectations.
Essential Functions
- Prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
- Interacts with customers, takes orders, and serves snacks and drinks.
- Assesses customers’ needs and preferences and makes recommendations based on their feedback.
- Plans and presents bar menu; ensures all bar inventory and supplied are replenished/restocked in a timely manner to ensure smooth service.
- Checks customers’ identification and confirms legal drinking age, as required by law.
- Complies with all food and beverage regulations.
- Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven work experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Experience using Point of Sale (POS) system and applicable software
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus, but not required
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and fully-stocked work area
- Relevant training certificate/license (ABC license)
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
