Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of coffee and non-coffee beverages with precision and care, including espresso drinks, teas, and specialty drinks
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, process payments accurately, and give correct change using basic math skills
- Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks to support the overall café operations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality beverage standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service—familiarity with coffee preparation and beverage service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a welcoming atmosphere
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while demonstrating basic math proficiency
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with cleaning routines necessary for maintaining hygiene standards in a food industry environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when needed
