Duties
- Support physical therapists by preparing treatment areas, setting up equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for therapy sessions.
- Assist with patient transfers using proper manual handling and transfer methods to promote safety and comfort.
- Help patients with exercises, mobility activities, and post-therapy routines under supervision, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment notes, and session details while respecting patient confidentiality at all times.
- Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels during therapy sessions, reporting any concerns promptly to the supervising therapist.
- Keep the treatment environment clean, organized, and compliant with hospital or clinic standards for infection control and safety.
Requirements
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse client populations including geriatrics and orthopedic patients.
- Familiarity with physiotherapy practices such as rehabilitation care assistance, outpatient therapy procedures, and client communication techniques.
