Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times.
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Foster positive behavior management techniques to encourage cooperation and respect among children.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to build strong relationships.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar environments.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
- Passion for nurturing young children’s growth through engaging activities and attentive caregiving.
