- Preparing meals in its entirety in a timely fashion for resident meal service
- Making soups and sauces using fresh ingredients
- Understanding and operating perinate equipment in food preparation and cooking
- Participates in cleaning, sweeping, mopping their station ensuring high levels of sanitation
- Understands special diets, food textures and liquid consistencies for keeping our residents safe at meal service
- Being able to work in a team environment

- Communicating well with others
- Being dependable and a compassionate person
- Lifting, bending, reaching and standing for long periods
- Some formal cooking or cooking knowledge preferred
