This position travels 98% of the time and requires a Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
The Preventative Maintenance (PM) Technician Lead is responsible for performing and leading preventative maintenance services at customer locations, including quarterly, biannual, and annual paint booth inspections, cleanings, and maintenance. This position serves as the on-site team lead, ensuring that all technicians perform work safely, efficiently, and to the company’s standards of excellence. The PM Technician Lead maintains the highest level of quality, thoroughness, and customer satisfaction while providing direction to the field team and maintaining clear communication with office staff. On-site (2%), Travel/Telecommute (98%). Job functions include, but are not limited to:
· Lead a crew of 2 to 4 employees to/on/from the jobsite
· Responsible for crew following all safety protocol/PPE usage
· Complete all reports/forms correctly for each work order.
· Communicate with store GM’s onsite with process and any potential issues
· Cleaning of paint booth from ceiling to pit area
· Cleaning of paint booth fans
· Replacement of all filters
· Scrape/wipe all glass
· Replacement of all belts
· Replace bulbs and ballasts (as needed)
· Re-caulk seams (as needed)
· Inspect door seals
· Apply booth coat
· Lubricate mechanicals as needed
· Adjust burners as necessary
· Record all information electronically through mobile application
· Communicate findings to Center Manager
· Maintain company vehicle with supplied tools and supplies
· Deliver bagged filters to customer sites
· Measure and cut filters to specific sizes, bags and label for specific locations
· Keep track of filter inventory and make requests to resupply when needed.
· Complete other tasks as assigned by either the PM manager or coordinator
Required Qualifications:
· 1-3 Years of experience in preventative maintenance
· Proven leadership ability to guide and support field technicians.
· Must be able to operate volt meters and amp probe
· Ability to work as a team and independently.
· Display professionalism at customers location
· Able to work in company specific software on phone or tablet
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
· Previous experience with Automotive/Industrial Paint Systems preferred.
· Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; travel required.
Physical Requirements
This position involves significant manual labor and requires the ability to perform the following physical activities:
· Bending, Standing, and Stooping: Regularly engage in bending, standing, and stooping for extended periods.
· Climbing: Ability to climb ladders or stairs and work at height for extended periods of time.
· Tool Usage: Proficient use of both small and large manual and power tools.
· Lifting: Capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 100 pounds.
· Weather Exposure: Requires moving material outside and inside regardless of weather, ensuring that work progresses without delay or interruption
· Hearing: Industrial setting where noise levels can vary greatly.
· Vision: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment
Candidates should be prepared to work in a physically demanding environment and possess the stamina and strength necessary to perform these tasks safely and effectively.
