We have an opening for a part time Field Nurse who can do home supervisory visits to evaluate the performance of our caregivers and assess patient needs and services firsthand. This person must be a registered RN who has clinical and supervisory experience and exceptional written and communication skills. Would prefer this individual to have home health field experience. Great opportunity for part-time role (2-3 days a week), or a semi-retired or retired nurse.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct all follow-up supervisory nursing visits as requested by the Veterans Administration to ensure proper care of the veteran by Visiting Angels staff.
- Complete all care assessment forms and regulatory forms.
- Complete a time record and mileage report for each skilled nurse visit for each client.
- Report any significant changes, concerns, or issues regarding the care of the veteran to the Care Supervisor and/or Director.
- Be flexible and work closely with Visiting Angels staff as nursing visits with veterans are scheduled.
- Ensure all scheduling is approved by the office and recorded in the scheduling software so proper billing and payroll can be completed.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, family members, and Visiting Angels staff.
- Provide any necessary education to veterans and their family members concerning the veteran’s condition.
- Provide any requested PAS (Personal Assistance Services) training to Visiting Angels staff.
- No other nursing duties are requested.
Qualifications
- Be a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Texas
- Meet all requirements of the Texas Board of Nursing

- Typing & Computer skills
- Social Security Card & Drivers License
- Have reliable transportation
