Overview:
Our client is seeking a Lab Technician to support a consumer fragrance development team. This position will focus heavily on compounding fragrance formulas, preparing samples and solutions, managing raw materials, and maintaining laboratory organization. The role supports a busy perfumer and requires someone who can work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Compound fragrance formulas by weighing and preparing raw materials.
- Prepare solutions, samples, and fragrance applications.
- Organize and maintain laboratory inventory and materials.
- Ensure raw materials are fresh and available for use.
- Follow lab safety procedures and established protocols.
- Meet project deadlines while supporting ongoing fragrance development activities.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with laboratory staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous lab experience through work, internships, research, or academic coursework.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field preferred.
- Relevant laboratory experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Experience weighing, measuring, compounding, or preparing solutions is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
