Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and/or management, with experience in fine dining or catering being desired. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and plating dishes from various culinary backgrounds. You will occasionally lead a team of kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Manage inventory control, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during events and regular operations.
- Maintain high standards of quality in food production while managing costs effectively.
- Participate in shift management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising staff.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen management.
- Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create diverse dishes across various cuisines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Background in catering or banquet service is highly desirable.
