The School Play Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the school’s theatrical production, from planning and rehearsals to performance. This role provides students with a creative and educational experience while fostering teamwork, confidence, and a love of the performing arts.
Plan and organize the school play production, including rehearsals and performances
Direct student actors and manage stage crew and volunteers
Guide students in acting, stage presence, and character development
Collaborate with staff, teachers, and parents to coordinate costumes, sets, and props
Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants
Communicate schedules, expectations, and performance details to students and families
Experience in theater production, directing, or stage management preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work with middle or high school students
Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for theater arts
