Job Description
IPM Specialist, Inc., is looking for a full-time day service specialist. IPM Specialist, Inc., is a local well-established pest control company seeking a professional and courteous individual to full fill our service specialist position. IPM Specialist, Inc., has been providing pest control service to our valued customers since 2013. The goal is to provide our customers with quality/brand protection. Our company focuses on commercial customers and residential properties.
Service Specialist: A Service Specialist’s duties consist of servicing our customers and driving from various locations at various times, submitting paperwork daily, such as service orders, reports, etc. The daytime Service Specialist will be required to communicate with the customers about any findings, scheduling, or other notes that may be needed during/after their services. The Service Specialist will also be required to provide treatment to all scheduled customers, identify potential pest problems, and proactively provide corrective solutions. The Service Specialist will work anywhere between 5 to 10 hours a day, overtime may be required at times. Must be able to work long hours. Driving long-distance and stand for long periods. This position is for a daytime service specialist, the applicant must be able to work independently 95% of the time. No experience is needed, we will train on the job. NOTE: some night shifts will be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deal directly with customers either via telephone and in-person
- Follow-up on customer interactions.
- Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Submit work orders daily.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of common software, including word processing, spreadsheets, the internet, and email.
- Ability to apply common sense and training to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Character attributes to provide excellent customer service, calmly address concerns, and work efficiently with allocated hours in a workday.
REQUIREMENTS
- A clean driving record is required (no traffic violation in the past 3 years)
- A drug test will be administered on all candidates
- A background check will be administered by the state of California and the federal government on all candidates
- High school or GED
- Must be able to work weekends and nights
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Available to travel for work, one week out of the year
