Renewal Unlimited is seeking Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistants for our Head Start classroom in Beaver Dam. There are currently 2 positions available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a team with the Teacher to create a safe, nurturing environment where young children can play and learn.
- Provide learning activities for social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, physical development, and the critical skills needed early in life for developing school readiness.
- Assists in assessing children for developmental skill progressions and entering the data into a software program within State Day Care Licensing and Federal Performance Standards.
- Clean, and sanitize toys and other items in the classroom.
- Assists with diapering following all health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with children, their family members, other staff, and management in a positive, professional manner.
- Respond positively to work direction and guidance from others.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of the Introduction to the Child Care Profession Course or agreement to complete this course within 6 months of hire.
Preferred:
- 1+ year of experience in Early Childhood Education or childcare.
- Completion of the Skills and Strategies Course for Child Care Teachers.
- Completion of the Infant Toddler Foundation Credential
- Experience in a licensed daycare setting.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate and nurturing skills in working with young children.
