- Location: Tuscaloosa County Schools – Central Office
- Contract: 12 Months
- Start Date: To Be Determined
- Salary: Coordinator Level on the Tuscaloosa County Teacher Salary Schedule (based on degree and experience)
As a key member of our Human Resources team, you'll help recruit, support, and retain the outstanding employees who make Tuscaloosa County Schools exceptional. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating employee onboarding and hiring processes
- Managing employee leave programs, including FMLA and leave of absence requests
- Assisting with recruitment events, interviews, and new employee orientation
- Supporting employee benefits, payroll coordination, and salary analysis
- Helping develop and update job descriptions, policies, and the Employee Handbook
- Assisting with employment investigations and personnel matters
- Collaborating with school and district leaders to provide HR guidance and support
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws and school system policies

We're seeking candidates who have:
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, School Administration, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
- Human Resources management or educational leadership experience
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and personnel procedures
- A commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical leadership
- A passion for serving students by supporting the employees who serve them every day
